Yesterday's picnic to Herrön

Hi,

Yesterday we took the kids and packed a bag with us and drove off to Herröskata. It is southernmost point of the island of Åland. It is located 20 km south of Mariehamn. Just 600 m south of the cape is Ledskär, which is an important point for navigation in the waters south of the Åland Islands. The fairway is still today used by the vessels.

On this site you find 3 spots to sit by a table and munch your picnic. On the cape there is also a bird watching tower with wonderful views over the fairway. Definitely worth a trip in the summer.
