A visit to Nyhamn

This beautiful, non-windy day, we visited Nyhamn (Lilla-Båtskär)
A lighthouse, a pilot station and a ironstone mine has been active on this island in history.
The lighthouse was shut down on 11th of July 2007.
In the 1950's mining of ironstone was started. However, it never got profitable.
In 1958 a lighthouse with electric light was built on top of the shaft.
The pilot station was closed in the 1990's.

Today the islands house 6 modern windmills.

Here are some pictures of the buildings and surroundings.
